Rep. Joe Kennedy's decision to run for Senate against incumbent Sen. Ed Markey has created a rare opportunity in Massachusetts politics -- an open seat.So far, seven Democrats have entered the fray in the 4th District, including Jesse Mermell, who served as communications director for former Gov. Deval Patrick. Appearing on WCVB's On The Record, Mermell talked about her stand on one of the key issues for the state and the nation: Medicare For All."We're trying to make sure people are covered, they can afford the coverage they get, and they can afford prescriptions. From where I sit, Medicare for All is the best path for us to get there, I'm fully aware of the politics that will be necessary for that to be achieved," she said.
