Mermell Cuts Through MA-04 Noise with First Ad Distinguishing Her as Best Choice for Progressives
BROOKLINE – Jesse Mermell today launched her campaign’s first television ad, distinguishing her as the strongest choice for progressives in the Democratic primary for Massachusetts’ Fourth Congressional District.
Titled “Clear Choice” the ad reflects the grassroots nature of Mermell’s campaign and illustrates her experience protecting reproductive rights at Planned Parenthood, her commitment to progressive causes like Medicare for All and a Green New Deal, and her wide array of endorsements – Attorney General Maura Healey, Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, Planned Parenthood, the Massachusetts Teachers Association, the Massachusetts Nurses Association and SEIU.
The ad will begin airing on Boston broadcast and Providence cable and broadcast on Tuesday with a $133,500 initial ad buy, adding to Mermell’s aggressive $40,000 digital advertising campaign and unmatched grassroots ground game that is peaking right as voters are starting to cast ballots. Election Day is September 1st but voters can vote-by-mail now or vote early in person beginning on August 22nd.
